New EU Member States - EC VAT Module updates - May 2004
As you may well be aware, on 16 April 2003 the Accession Treaty to formalize the entry of 10 additional countries to join the European Union (EU) was signed in Athens. On 1 May 2004, the countries listed below joined the EU, raising the total number of Member States to 25.

Cyprus CY
Czech Republic CZ
Estonia EE
Hungary HU
Latvia LV
Lithuania LT
Malta MT
Poland PL
Slovakia SK
Slovenia SI

If you are using EC VAT in any of the Pegasus Accounting Packages and trade with any of these countries you will need to make small changes in the set up of your system in order to correctly treat these counties as EC members for the purposes of VAT.
