Latest Enhancements

On-Line Collaboration (Chat) – Enterprise Edition Only
The new on-line collaboration (chat) facility enables one user to begin a chat session with another, so any business decisions can be discussed and acted upon immediately. This facility is controlled by a new option in the User Manager.

Pop-up Forwarding – Enterprise Edition Only
Pop-up forwarding allows previously distributed information to be forwarded again to other clients. Also controlled by an option in the User Manager, it is a useful facility to have if discussing a business issue with a colleague.

User Groups – Enterprise Edition Only
User Groups can now be defined and nominated as the recipient for messages. When a User Group is selected as the recipient, the task will be distributed to all users within the group regardless of their security permissions.

New Task Manager Facilities – Enterprise Edition Only
A number of new facilities have been added to the Task Manger. They include:

User definable formula fields – thus providing even more powerful, complex and sophisticated task management capabilities.

New checkbox options have been added to the ‘Transport’ step of the Advanced Wizard.

They are:

1) ‘Send alert if no results’ –

The checkbox is only enabled if the task is a report. The default is to send a message when there are no results.

2) ‘Only include changes’ – The checkbox is only enabled if the task is a report. When this option is set to ON the results of the tasks are stored each time the task is run and, where there are differences between consecutive runs, only the changes are displayed.

Keyword fields such as Count, Source, Date, DateLong, Time, Time 24 and Field can be incorporated into the ‘Title and Layout’ steps of the Advanced Wizard. HMTL
Formatting can also be applied to the Layout section.

The option to total numeric columns in the ‘Message Style’ form in the Advanced Wizard has also been added.

New Function called ‘Convert’ – This function is available from the File menu of the Task Manager. It is only available to the Administrator and will allow Tasks created using the Advanced Wizard to be converted and used in the Simple Wizard.
