New Release of Operations II October-2003
Operations II V2.08.50 Released
Customer Contract Review
Within the Operations II system it is possible to define a standard Customer Contract that can be modified to a specific sales order. When you save a sales order it is possible to invoke the Contract Review function. In a typical quality system such as ISO9000, there are procedures in place to enter and review sales orders, to ensure that you adhere to the terms of any contract that may be applicable to the particular order. When the operator saves a sales order, if they are given the authority, they can also mark that sales order as ‘Reviewed’, if they do not have that authority the sales order will be marked as ‘Un-reviewed’. It then falls to an authorised operator to subsequently mark that sales order as ‘Reviewed’. Operations II can be configured to prevent processing of ‘Unreviewed’ sales orders.
Parts Hold/Release System
When a stock record is modified, by editing the bill of materials, routing or the stock record itself, it is now possible to invoke the Release Register and place a part code ‘On Hold’. Part codes that are ‘On Hold’ can be excluded from processing within Operations II. This is ideal for companies that wish to carry out engineering changes to a part code and wish that part code to remain ‘locked’ until the changes have been completed and approved.
Non Conformance Reporting
A number of new reports have been added, which allow for a more detailed analysis of Non Conformance in the Goods Inwards routine within Purchases, and in the Works Order Inspection routine within Production. Non Conformance reports can form a vital part of the management review of quality within any company running a quality regime such as ISO9000.
This version also includes a significant number of enhancements to help you get the most out of Operations II, including:
* OLE option with Quotation Module
* Text Invoice/Credit Notes using Price Lists
* Locate Invoice/Credit Notes
* MRP Views added to Generate Orders
* Improved Safety Level Stock Control
* Xeriose all Forecast Orders
All Operations II customers with a current AMC and who request an upgrade to this version will receive this new functionality free of charge.
